Following the discovery of an endangered flower at its Ballylumford power station in 2005, Premier Power has been taking its environmental responsibilities seriously, working in partnership with the Ulster Wildlife Trust to help protect local wildlife within its ground.

Now through the charity's corporate membership scheme, Premier Power is helping the Ulster Wildlife Trust to maintain and grow its network of 22 nature reserves across Northern Ireland, protect threatened species like the red squirrel and Irish hare, and inspire thousands of children and young people to care for our natural world.
Henry Coolidge, Chief Executive of Premier Power said: "Premier Power is delighted to support the work of the Ulster Wildlife Trust. We aim to make a positive contribution to the protection of the environment and the Ulster Wildlife Trust's work underpins this key business principle. Our relationship means that we can not only help support the Trust's valuable conservation work across Northern Ireland, but also obtain essential advice and guidance about protecting the wildlife on our own site".
Heather Thompson, Chief Executive with the Ulster Wildlife Trust added: "This is a shining example of a business that is committed to helping protect our regions' fragile natural heritage. Corporate members have a vital role to play in ensuring that we hand on a healthily and economically viable environment for future generations, so we really welcome Premier Power's support. We hope that many more businesses will take their lead and join us."
